Details of our
success story

  • Customer: G. Staehle GmbH u. Co. KG
  • Third-largest European manufacturer of aerosol cans
  • Industry: Metalworking / Packaging Industry
  • + 200 employees

Challenges of the customer

The G. Staehle Group decided to prepare a voluntary sustainability report for staehle for the first time for the 2024 fiscal year. The goal was to bring together the wide range of existing sustainability activities and initiatives in a clear, structured, and easily understandable format. For external communication with customers and banks, as well as internally with the workforce, and as a basis for future business decisions. Although there was no legal reporting requirement, the report’s content was to be aligned with ESRS standards while simultaneously highlighting staehle’s brand identity and vision for the future.

Building on the double materiality analysis already conducted by Fokus Zukunft, the task was to prioritize the relevant topics in a meaningful way and translate them into a target-group-oriented reporting framework. A particular challenge was to combine technical depth with clear language and an appealing visual design, ensuring the report is accessible to both experts and non-technical stakeholders.

Our solution approach

Fokus Zukunft handled the conception and execution of the sustainability report—from structuring the content and drafting the text to the final graphic design.

“The collaboration helped us structure our sustainability topics more precisely and present them in a way that truly resonates with our customers. The joint development of a consistent tone and clear messages was particularly valuable.”
— Mr. Trenkler, Sustainability Management / Project Management

The Path to a Target Group Report

Step 1

Content structuring and prioritization: The available information was systematically organized and structured according to the topics prioritized in the materiality analysis. This resulted in a clear, transparent structure that reflects staehle’s specific business realities while also enabling voluntary alignment with ESRS.

Step 2

Concept and Copywriting: Fokus Zukunft developed the entire report structure, the content guidelines, and all of the text. Particular attention was paid to combining technical precision with brand-consistent communication in order to convey staehle’s identity in an authentic and compelling way.

Step 3

Visual design: Layout, infographics, charts, and other design elements are aligned with staehle’s brand identity. Complex content is conveyed clearly and comprehensibly through a modern, clean, and accessible visual language.

The result
of this success story

With this sustainability report, staehle now has a structured and professionally designed overview of its sustainability activities. Goals, measures, and progress are clearly presented and organized into a coherent reporting framework.

The report enables staehle to engage its target stakeholders and provides transparency regarding its priorities and ambitions. Thanks to its clear structure and accessible language, even complex content is conveyed in an understandable way and invites deeper engagement.

At the same time, the report strengthens the company’s strategic positioning in the area of sustainability: it highlights existing achievements, enhances internal alignment, and establishes a solid foundation for further development as well as potential future regulatory reporting.

“Fokus Zukunft helped us clearly organize and precisely define our sustainability issues. Through our collaboration, we produced a report that authentically reflects our strategic direction.”

– Jörg-Peter Staehle und Marc Oliver Staehle, Managing Director at G. Staehle GmbH & Co. KG
