The event calculator can be used to calculate CO₂e emissions generated during events as a result of energy consumption, transportation, catering, and waste generation. The results identify the largest sources of emissions and enable the identification of specific opportunities for reduction. At the same time, they provide a transparent basis for communicating with event participants.

CO2e Event Calculator

Step 1

Data Collection

You will receive an online data entry form where you can enter relevant information about the event—such as energy consumption, catering, waste, and participants’ arrival and departure times. The form includes guidance on how to make projections and estimates if you do not have specific consumption data available.

Step 2

Accounting

Based on this, we calculate the CO₂e emissions of your event. To do so, we use established emission factors from recognized databases to determine emissions for each category in a transparent and verifiable manner.

Step 3

Results and Report

You will receive a clear summary of the results, as well as a report highlighting the key emission drivers for your event. The results can be used as a basis for internal analysis, sustainability communications, or planning future events.
