Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF)
The CO2-Footprint for your company

With our tailored CCF, you can measure and analyze your company’s key emission categories based on the internationally recognized Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG). The CCF forms the basis for an effective, future-oriented climate strategy.

Your advantages
at a glance

  1. Transparency about emissions: You receive a well-founded and comprehensible overview of your CO₂ emissions – broken down into Scope 1, 2 and 3.
  2. Identification of the biggest emission drivers: A detailed analysis of your main emission drivers enables you to derive targeted reduction potential.
  3. Effective communication: Use the validated data to credibly communicate your company’s CO₂ emissions to stakeholders such as investors and customers.

Your path to a successful CCF

Step 1

Kick-off & target definition

At the beginning, we clarify your expectations and goals for CCF accounting. You will receive an introduction to the CCF methodology according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and the data collection process. We then carry out the Scope 3 screening together. We analyze which Scope 3 categories are essential for the balance sheet and for which categories we should place a special focus on detailed data collection.

Step 2

Data acquisition & analysis

Together, we compile all relevant data and information for the calculation of your CCF. We provide you with targeted support in data procurement and quality assurance. We ensure complete data collection through iterative exchange.

Step 3

Accounting

Once the data has been recorded, your individual CO₂e balance sheet is calculated, including a detailed analysis of the emission sources according to Scope 1, 2 and 3. The data is evaluated and converted into CO₂ equivalents using internationally recognized emission factors.

Step 4

Result & outlook

Finally, we present the results and identify your company’s biggest sources of emissions. From this, we derive general reduction measures and discuss further steps to optimize your climate strategy.

Frequently asked questions,
that we answer

CO₂e (CO₂ equivalents) is a unit of measurement that converts the greenhouse effect of various greenhouse gases into a standardized quantity. In addition to carbon dioxide (CO₂), other gases such as methane (CH₄) and nitrous oxide (N₂O) also contribute to climate change – with a significantly greater effect. CO₂e emissions make it possible to compare the overall climate impact of a product, process or company and derive targeted reduction measures.

  • CCF (Corporate Carbon Footprint) considers the total CO₂ emissions of a company.
  • PCF (Product Carbon Footprint), on the other hand, calculates the emissions of an individual product, product group or product line over its entire life cycle.

The calculation is carried out in accordance with the GHG Protocol and includes direct emissions (Scope 1), indirect energy emissions (Scope 2) and other indirect emissions along the value chain (Scope 3).

Not all data is always directly available or easy to collect for CO₂ accounting. By taking a forward-looking approach, we work in part with well-founded assumptions and projections in order to create a practical and meaningful balance sheet. At the same time, we support you in collecting relevant data step by step and building up a more precise data basis in the long term. This makes your carbon footprint not only realistic, but also adaptable for future developments.

Yes, under certain conditions, a government grant for the CCF can be applied for within the framework of the BAFA program “Förderung von Unternehmensberatungen für KMU”. Applications can be submitted until December 31, 2026.
