EU-Taxonomie-Beratung

Your benefits
of EU taxonomy advice

  1. Compliance with regulatory requirements: The EU taxonomy is mandatory for some companies. Our advice helps you to meet the legal requirements securely and efficiently.
  2. Facilitated lending & financing benefits: Banks must indicate how many of their loans finance taxonomy-compliant activities. Companies with a positive taxonomy rating therefore often have better chances of obtaining favorable credit conditions and investments.

Your way to EU-Taxonomy

Step 1

Kick-Off

At the start of the project, we clarify your expectations and objectives. You will receive an introduction to the EU taxonomy, its requirements and implications. We also define the project plan together to ensure a structured approach.

Step 2

Identification of business activities

In a workshop, we analyze your business activities and assign them to the corresponding NACE codes (economic activity classifications). In doing so, we determine which of your activities are taxonomy-capable and taxonomy-compliant.

Step 3

Mapping of economic activities

This step involves the complete identification of all taxonomy-eligible economic activities. We then check taxonomy conformity by evaluating the three central criteria:

  • Substantial Contribution (SC) – does the activity make a substantial contribution to an environmental objective?
  • Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) – does it not cause significant harm to other environmental objectives?
  • Minimum Safeguards – does the company meet minimum social and governance standards?
Step 4

Derivation of key financial figures

We calculate the economic key figures for taxonomy-compliant and taxonomy-compliant economic activities. The relevant values for turnover, capital expenditure (CapEx) and operating expenditure (OpEx) are determined and prepared.

Step 5

Presentation of results

Finally, we present the final results of the taxonomy assessment and answer any open questions. We also discuss possible next steps to strategically integrate your taxonomy compliance into your business processes.

Frequently asked questions,
that we answer

The EU taxonomy is a classification system that assesses economic activities according to whether they are considered environmentally sustainable. Its aim is to create transparent, uniform and scientifically sound criteria to support companies, investors and financial institutions in evaluating sustainable investments.

Specifically, the EU taxonomy pursues the following objectives:

  • Promoting sustainable investment through clear definitions of environmentally friendly economic activities
  • Avoiding greenwashing by defining objective and verifiable sustainability criteria
  • Supporting the EU climate targets and the EU Green Deal strategy, in particular achieving climate neutrality by 2050
  • Increasing the transparency and comparability of sustainability reports and investment decisions

The EU taxonomy applies to companies that fall under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Companies that are not directly subject to reporting requirements can also voluntarily follow the EU taxonomy in order to create transparency, improve financing conditions and strategically prepare for future regulatory requirements.

  • Climate protection
  • Adaptation to climate change
  • Sustainable use of water resources
  • Transformation to a circular economy
  • Avoidance of soiling
  • Protection of ecosystems and biodiversity
