Success story
Our climate risk and resilience analysis provided G. Staehle with a sound assessment of its physical and transition climate risks. The analysis highlights relevant risks, existing protective measures and areas requiring further action, thereby creating a reliable basis for reporting and future strategic decisions.

As part of implementing the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), G. Staehle faced the task of systematically assessing climate-related risks across its sites. The analysis was designed not only to examine the direct impacts of climate change on the Stuttgart and Schifferstadt locations, but also to consider risks arising from the social and economic transition towards a climate-neutral economy.
The objective was to identify physical and transition climate risks at an early stage, assess how they may develop over time and derive suitable measures to strengthen the company’s resilience. At the same time, the analysis was intended to provide a sound basis for sustainability reporting.
Economic considerations also played an important role: identifying and managing climate-related risks at an early stage can help reduce potential damage, business interruptions and the associated costs.
Fokus Zukunft conducted a multi-stage climate risk and resilience analysis for G. Staehle.
The climate risk and resilience analysis provides G. Staehle with a structured, data-based assessment of the climate-related risks and opportunities affecting the Stuttgart and Schifferstadt sites.
It shows which risks are particularly relevant to the sites, how existing measures contribute to risk mitigation and in which areas further action may be required. By considering different climate scenarios and time horizons, G. Staehle also gains an overview of how the relevance of individual risks may change in the future.
The analysis therefore provides a sound basis for integrating climate-related factors into strategic decision-making, supporting sustainability reporting requirements and further strengthening the company’s resilience to the impacts of climate change.
“Fokus Zukunft’s climate risk and resilience analysis provided us with valuable insights into the climate-related risks affecting our sites. On this basis, we were able to further develop existing measures in a targeted manner and establish a sound foundation for strategic decision-making. At the same time, the analysis helps us minimise the potential costs and impacts of climate risks at an early stage.”
