Unterstützung bei der
CBAM-Berichtspflicht

Your benefits
of a CBAM report

  1. Transparency on imported raw materials: You receive a detailed overview of your imported raw materials and can evaluate alternative suppliers within the EU to reduce potential costs and dependencies.
  2. Avoidance of higher default emission values: Through our precise accounting of your raw materials, you benefit from individually verified emissions data instead of having to rely on standard (often higher) default values. This can significantly reduce your CO₂-related costs.
  3. Strategic decarbonization: The analysis of your imported emissions supports a long-term decarbonization strategy by identifying optimization potential in sourcing and production processes.

Your path to a
CBAM report

Step 1

Definition of reporting requirements

In the first step, we clarify the specific CBAM reporting requirements for your company. Together, we identify relevant data sources and define interfaces.

Step 2

Data preparation & migration

We then collect and validate the relevant emissions and import data. The processed data is migrated into the CBAM reporting software. Regular coordination meetings ensure consistent and error-free data transfer.

Step 3

Implementation of reporting processes

We configure the reporting modules in the software according to CBAM requirements.

Step 4

Calculation of emissions at raw material level

Based on the collected data, we calculate the actual emissions of the imported raw materials. These real emissions values are integrated into the software to avoid higher default values and enable potential cost savings.

Step 5

Submission of CBAM report

After successful calculation and validation, the CBAM report is submitted quarterly to the responsible customs authority. This ensures that your company meets all regulatory requirements.

Frequently asked questions,
that we answer

The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is a regulation designed to create incentives for producers outside the EU to reduce their emissions while strengthening the competitiveness of the EU.

All companies that import CBAM-relevant goods from third countries into the EU are subject to the CBAM reporting obligation. CBAM-relevant goods include iron, steel, cement, aluminium, fertilizers, electricity, and hydrogen.

The CBAM report must include, among other things, the total quantity of each type of good – measured in megawatt hours for electricity and in tonnes for other goods – broken down by the installations in the country of origin that produced the goods.

The German Emissions Trading Authority (DEHSt) is the competent national authority for CBAM.
