We communicate our enthusiasm for sustainable living and economy to our customers and business partners every day. So we believe that it is only consistent and a matter of the heart that we take the same path towards a more sustainable future, day for day, one step at a time.
Each day, we strive to align our company with ecological, social and economic principles. Corporate responsibility is something we take very seriously – to keep our planet liveable and in the interests of every team member. It is, after all, perfectly clear: if we want to pass on a sustainable vision, we need to set a good example ourselves.
Like every company, we have a special responsibility to engage actively in climate and environmental protection. That’s why we have calculated our carbon footprint every year since the company was founded, introduced reduction measures and offset unavoidable emissions several times over. In addition, we have agreed on an internal price per tonne of CO₂ for our business units. By means of apportionment, we increase the costs of the divisions accordingly. Besides the climate neutrality of our own company, we are also involved in regional projects to promote biodiversity in our area.
Our climate objectives have been validated by the Science Based Target initiative and contribute to achieving the 1.5-degree target.

Social commitment
As a growing company, we are keen to give something back to society. That’s why we take our social commitment very seriously and support charitable institutions such as the Peter Maffay Foundation. We are particularly concerned to help children and young people, as we believe that a sustainable society will always be built on the youth.
Responsibility as employers
Our responsibility to create a pleasant working environment in which all employees enjoy their work grows with each new team member.
Our appreciative corporate culture is built on the social and fringe benefits we offer. We also attach considerable importance to flat hierarchies and frank, transparent communication in which everyone feels comfortable and involved. To make sure that we are living up to our responsibility as an employer, we conduct an annual survey among all employees. So we are learning how to become an (even) better employer all the time.
There is a good reason why Fokus Zukunft is not a large corporation with innumerable employees and multiple sites, rather a consultancy with a comparatively small team. We take our corporate and economic responsibility seriously and seek to grow prudently. We pay attention to the quality of our services and to covering our costs. We believe that long-term stability comes before short-term profit, which also enables us to offer our employees financial security.
